When I first heard about this mascara, I scoured online to find any reviews but I wasn’t able to find any at the time so I went ahead and got it myself. This mascara really intrigued me because it made some really bold claims. A mascara that promises to perm my lashes over time and forget about a mascara that holds the curl, you won’t even need an eyelash curler! FOR REAL? … no. This mascara couldn’t even hold my curl for over a minute let alone forever.
Packaging: It’s just a standard long mascara tube that’s black. Something I wanted to mention was that the tube was very dusty on the outside when I took it out of the box. I think it’s from the cardboard packaging. I know Stila is trying to be all ecofriendly but that’s kind of annoying.
Pros:
- No crunchy lashes
- decent volume
- decent lengthening
- brush shape
- no clumps
Cons:
- Price
- dusty packaging
- Does not hold curl at all
I do like the brush. No globs, no clumps, and the size is nice and tiny which is convenient for my small eyes.
Curled lashes with Shu Uemura curler
1 coat of mascara. I tried to quickly take the picture.
Less than 30 seconds later. Womp womp
Maybe if I try on another coat? Oh… nope.
I really tried to make this macara work. I tried applying a lighter application, still no curl. I even used the Shiseido mascara base and even that couldn’t save this mascara.
By the way, Stila has become really tacky ever since the company was bought out. I remember a while ago there was an ad on the website advertising these tacky tassels and when I just visited the site to do this review, I got this message when I tried to close my tab:

“Wait come back! We got a special offer for you!”
